It’s great your getting your creative juices flowing, but remember while doing this your on s budget the military isn’t 😆 so your boat will be open hull design, it needs to be able to cut open water water , yet small enough to Cruz around inshore, the slide mounts are cool , D rings 👍🏼, explaining a replica 50 cal to the Bahamian water cops telling them it’s a signaling device 🤔 a smaller donzi cigarette hull would be a way to go , we don’t know what your budget is, this is going to be a great project, I hope you can give us a lot of video on what’s happening, are you building from scratch ? Would you consider doing a stitch and glue build ? I’m still trying to get my project nano skiff done , the weather is holding me back ( no it’s not I’m freak’n lazy !) 😆 can’t wait to see you build the boat ! 👍🏼

Sounds like another fun build, nice video showing the Navy UDT/SEAL museum. Tons of respect for those sailors. Aircraft style sheetmetal seats riding on suspension would be cool. You could use racing seats from Summit or Jegs and gas struts/shocks maybe. I love those aluminum boats, actually, I just picked up a new G3 1860 welded aluminum Jon boat. It’s gonna get a OMC sixty degree V-4 looper, 90 hp. Still looking for 50 mph in a skiff…lol

I'd build from scratch, long, narrow v-skiff bottom, reverse open transom, reverse sheer, low freeboard, outboard well, racing dingy style cockpit with wide gunwales for hanging off, similar to a Yukon 800 boat.

Yeaaaa buddy... Really like the pre boat build process. This always ensures you get the max out of any build.. The creative process is not something that happens on demand but evolves as we are inspired by other boat builds but sometimes random things.. Keep going buddy.. YEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I'd look into the laws of the Bahamas before building a military replica boat. Some places even outlaw wearing camouflage clothing in their country. Always look into other countries laws because they often oppose our own laws.

Wow - that place sure looks a lot different from when I went there around 1990 - it was a little building and I think a little farther North of there - As you can tell from my Icon I was a Sub sailor, both SSBN and SSN - I finished on a Sub Rescue out of Key West - that is how I wound up living in Florida since 1967 - I love your idea so far, I screwed up and lost my last boat of over 30 years and am thinking of building a new one to replace it but do not have the space to do it at home - I am been subscribed and following your builds for some time now -
